Handling Specialty is often referred to as an OEM or Original Equipment Manufacturer, and that is an accurate description, as we produce original, custom equipment. However, a more apt one is ODM or Original Design Manufacturer. An ODM creates original product designs based on the customer’s guidelines but also manufactures those designs.
Each original creation is a custom or series of equipment where the customer generally owns the rights to the completed project. In these cases, an NDA or Non-disclosure agreement is signed.
