On November 10th, Handling Specialty celebrated another milestone in a long history of notable events, with our 60th anniversary. We were thrilled to have so many turn out for this celebration including Hamilton’s Mayor, Andrea Horwath, the Minister of Small Business, Nina Tangri, Niagara MP Dean Allison, Hamilton’s Ward 4 Councillor Tammy Hwang, many suppliers, friends, family, and partners such as Siemens Canada.
The event, held at our Hamilton plant, was a major success seeing over 280 people through the doors during its 1-5 run. The stage saw four speakers take the podium. Before the speeches, our guests were treated to a local singer/songwriter and Handling employee. The day concluded with tours of the facility to review the massive material handling and stage system projects that were available for viewing. A wine bar and refreshments area manned by SmartServe bartenders and a food station rounded out the days offerings. Handling SPecialty was presented with a 60th trophy by Siemens Canada and a certificate of achievement by both the Mayor of Hamilton and the Minister of Small Business.
