Overview
Handling Specialty custom designed and manufactured a 35,000 lb capacity production duty lift for an automotive assembly plant in the US. The lift received a fully assembled truck from a carrier on an overhead chain conveyor, then lowered the truck to floor level, where it was moved onto another conveyor. From this point, the lift and carrier lower to the “down stop” position, where the carrier transfers off the end. Returning to the raised position, the shot pins engage, and the lift is ready to receive the next truck.
Features
- Proportional hydraulic controls to obtain a ramped acceleration and deceleration.
- Shot pins incorporated in lift platform to maintain operational raised position.
- Built to support a production schedule based on 20 cycles per hour over an 80-hour work week.
