More news related to Handling Specialty’s recent win with Royal Caribbean to design/build for their new line of ships, ICON class, has been featured on the Global News Network’s website.
Rick Zamperin of Global News and CHML radio picked up our Press Release on the exciting news and not only added it to the Global website, he read the news brief on the radio.
In the release, Rick mentions a Grimsby, Ont. company that has won the largest fixed-price contract in its 58-year history from Royal Caribbean. He goes on to say: Handling Specialty designs and builds stage lift systems for the entertainment industry and that it will be responsible for installing a custom stage floor on Royal Caribbean ships.
Though the terms of the deal have not been announced officially, Handling Specialty was given permission by RCCL to announce our part in the new ICON class ship builds without revealing the exact nature of the design/build.
Handling Specialty has worked with Royal Caribbean for many years on five OASIS class ships, where we designed and built the Aqua theatre stage lifts situated on the aft of the ship.
