Handling Specialty welcomed three of our employee’s grade nine students into the building today for the Bring Your Kids to Work Day event. Right away, the kids got to work on their Health & Safety training in the boardroom and a workplace tour.
Next, Engineering offered a job shadowing followed by a Quality Control tour and exercises at the Grimsby main office and plant. Then the kids travelled to Handling’s Plant 2 in Hamilton for lunch and to job shadow their parents. A tour of Plant 2 also included the new Blast & Paint booths, followed by a question period to conclude the Bring Your Kids to Work Day event at Handling Specialty.
Educating our kids on what we do as a company and the many careers available within is an important step in preparing them for the real world while offering them a taste of the diversity of jobs a company like ours presents.
