Overview
This industrial personnel lift with tilt/upender component acts as a vertical assembly station to assemble large industrial fuel cells in the Energy industry. This is a custom design/build material handling solution for a new model of large scale fuel cells developed to vertically stack the components.
Personnel Lift Features
- Lowered Height: 68″; Vertical Travel: 179″; Raised Height: 247″
- Both sections of the platform cut-out include manually actuated sliders to adjust the opening width to close the gap between the platform, fuel cell, and Tilter (Upender)
- Rise / lower speed: approximately 3/4″ per sec.
- Lift actuation by 4 bevel-ball screw jacks powered by 2 mechanically synchronized gear motors with integral brakes.
- Includes bellows for ball screws.
- Platform includes handrails around the perimeter, with removable handrail sections
around cut-out. - Platform includes four (4) 120VAC outlets and two (2) pneumatic quick-connect
fittings for 100psi air. - Operator interface via pushbutton control box on the platform and pushbutton controls on the floor-mounted MCP.
- Primary voltage 460VAC/3/60.
- Control voltage 24VDC.
- Articulating stairway with gates at top and bottom.
- Platform ladder provided for access to the platform in the lowered position (when
stairway not used).
Upender (Tilter) Model TL300XS
- Upender (Tilter) Model TL300XS:
- Capacity 30,000 lbs.
- Upper leg includes a mounting surface for the purchaser’s fixture.
- Designed for a maximum 210″ fixture length.
- Lower leg includes 60″ diameter platform which rotates 90 degrees (in vertical
position only). - Platform slides +/- 6 inches. Note: COG of the fuel cell assembly to be no more than 3″ from the axis of rotation of the rotator platform.
- Upender travels a maximum of 85 degrees from horizontal to working position.
- The upender tilted 5-15 degrees from vertical during assembly.
- Tilt actuation is by two hydraulic cylinders.
- Includes Hydraulic Power Unit.
- Operator interface via pushbutton controls on the floor-mounted MCP.
