Solution: 156
Industry:Entertainment Stage Lift Equipment
Model: Underwater Lifts, Diving Boards and Trampoline for Cruise Ships
Type: Underwater Lift
Actuation: Hydraulic
Travel: 176"
Capacity: 90,000 Lbs.

Overview

Handling Specialty was awarded the contract to design, build and install complete turnkey packages for Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ships. The equipment package included three underwater lifts for the Aquatheater, two diving board tilters, and one trampoline rotator.

In order to slow the movement of water from side to side within the pool, the runway lift features a vertically telescoping platform. With a platform capacity of 10,000 lbs, the equipment can withstand an average of 10 kpa horizontal “sloshing load.”

Features

  • The total capacity of underwater lifts is 90,000 lbs, covering an area of approximately 1,000 sq. ft, 176” vertical travel.
  • The stage area is perforated with approximately 432,000 holes to ensure minimum displacement of water.
  • Hydraulically operated with non-toxic water glycol fluid.
  • Equipment can withstand an average of 10 kpa horizontal “sloshing load.”
