Overview
This custom rail wheelset transfer cart was developed to maneuver wheelsets and bogies through the MRO shop from the railcar and back to allow for loading and offloading train wheel sets from/onto the wheel pallets. It assists technicians through the manual transfer of these units on smooth casters. The transfer lift system is designed to handle distributed loads up to 8,600 lbs. (3,901 kg) and is powered by an external impact drill. The unit utilizes a dual-arm mechanical lift system with an integrated locking tongue to provide controlled lifting and secure load positioning.
