Overview
Handling Specialty was asked to quote on a vertical assembly platform that is being used during the assembly process for large energy turbines. The lift is mounted in a pit and rises approximately 35 feet, safely holding personnel and equipment as the turbine assembly is completed.
The platform features 3 (three) round removable plates, which can be manufactured in a variety of sizes. For safety, the lift also features safety lock-up bars to hold the lift in a raised position for regular maintenance and hydraulic cylinders equipped with velocity fuses to provide a rate of descent protection.

- 252” vertical travel (21 feet).
- Raised height 347” from pit floor to platform (approximately 29 feet).
- Lowered height less than 8 feet.
- 1.8” per second rise rate, lower rate by gravity (hydraulic cylinders equipped with velocity fuses to provide a rate of descent protection).
